Black or White!

Black or white with no shades of grey, that was what dad used to say about me and it’s still true decades later. This blog is a perfect example of it, a flurry of posts then nothing for 3 months, but you know what? it’s just the way I am so I’m going to embrace it. I’m very much a, what you see is what you get, kind of a person so the idea of continuing to blog while everything blows up behind me is not the way I roll. So typically everything gets abandoned until I feel better and then I sweep away the tumbleweed and start again.

Lately I found myself with a bit more time on my hands so I opened my Etsy shop back up. I’ve had a bit of a tidy up and renamed it Alchemy of Beads, just because I felt like it. I have lots of jewellery to put in there and have started taking photos now there is a bit more light. My studio still isn’t finished so not many beads in there for now but I have been playing with silver and gemstone beads which has proved to be enjoyable fiddly and absorbing.

I have just listed this glass heart necklace in my shop. I love the way fine silver on ivory glass gives a gorgeous lacy pattern, it looks especially nice when the glass is etched. Somehow the matte finish accentuates all the marbling detail. Click here to see it in my shop Alchemy of Beads.
