Autumn already!
5th October 22
I’m not going to lie, this summer was brutal and it flew past without so much as a by your leave! Here we are at the start of autumn, the trees are resplendent, the nights are drawing in and my knitting is out. I feel like I’m finally starting to breathe again
This week I’m off work, originally I was going to Lancaster to see mum but I couldn’t face another 8 hour car journey by myself so I’ve postponed it until George can come with me.
I did do a thing though! I went to the V&A, on the train, on my own, for the first time since I don’t know when, certainly before the pandemic. I missed 2 exhibitions because of lockdown and was starting to think I’d never go again. Once I got over my public transport jitters it was amazing, I had the best day and I’m thinking about going to see Cezanne at Tate Modern next.
In bead news, the shed is painted and has electricity. It’s only taken me a year but I got there in the end. The floor still needs sorting out with insulation and fireproofing but then I reckon I’m good to start melting glass again. I have mixed feelings about it but that’s for another post.
