Unexpected things have been happening at Johnston Towers and for a little while I was floored. The combination of a massive curve ball out of nowhere, losing weight and and trying to open my new jewellery shop was just too much! I was overwhelmed and burnt out, so I slipped on my floofy bunny slippers, pulled my cosy fleece blanket over my head and waited for the spinning to stop.
Countless cups of Three Mint Tea and Gilmore Girls reruns later, I'm feeling much better and beginning to pick up the pieces. I don't know how other people do that thing where they are making, photographing, listing and posting updates on social media, it all seems a bit relentless. If I'm in making mode then that's all I can do, I can't do multi tasking. For me multi tasking just means doing several things badly and I would rather do whatever I'm doing as well as I can without distraction.
I have all these ideas to plan it all out on a calender, have updates once a week or whatever but the truth of it is that's not my way. My life rarely runs to plan and is often subject to the surprising and unexpected. With the best will in the world I could not plan my way out of a paper bag. As a result my blog, my shop, my email list, Instagram and Facebook are sporadic at best, it's just the way I roll.
So going forward I will be posting photos of new lampwork beads and jewellery here on my blog and Instagram and any discounts, sales and offers will be available first on my email list. That's all I'm willing to commit myself to at the moment but if it changes you will be the first to know.
I always like to finish with a picture, this one really does speak a thousand words and sums this post up perfectly. Can you spot the planners?
Love and Hugs
