I made some sculptural daisy beads today which are a bit different for me and a couple of the inevitable florals. I am not holding my breath but I really hope they come out OK. It's a nice feeling having a full kiln but I can't believe its taken me until the last day of my holiday to really get into it, ah well back to driving about tomorrow.Today they were showing the F1 Grand Prix at the local cinema and as N-J loves F1 George took her to see it. He said it was a bit surreal, there were only about 15 people in the whole cinema (probably because they were charging £15.00 a ticket and you could watch it for free on the t.v.) it was ridiculously loud and very very big. Of course today was the day Lewis Hamilton managed to make a horrible mistake crashing out in the pits on lap 10 but George and N-J managed to stay until the finish despite being totally crestfallen once their favourite was out.So I had a couple of hours to myself. I made a nice cup of tea, put the Philadelphia Story on and got all my new glass out for labelling. My plan is to label each rod but I fear this may take some time as there are more than 600 rods. Fortunately N-J has the smallest neatest writing in the world and when she got back from the cinema she offered to help, what a result, we have already done half.
