Bead News Just In........I made a keeper! Sometimes when I am making a bead I think its going to be fantastic, it looks wonderful while its hot but inexplicably when it comes out of the kiln it has cooled to mediocrity. Occaisionally though you open the kiln and its like WOW, the kiln fairy came in the night took my crappy bead and left me this beautiful present. I will make a huge effort to take a photograph to show you tommorow but this bead has the look of something that my sorry photography skills will not do justice to. I absolutely love this bead, I doubt I will be able to repeat it and for once, I will not be selling it.I was exceptionally tired today having had no sleep whatsoever last night so I gave the torch a swerve and went for coffee with my friend Suzie instead and I have to tell you we had a hoot. Suzie and I go back a long way, she was Georges best friend when I first met him over 20 years ago. We have had our moments and some fantastic experiences but she would, in all probability, kill me if I wrote about them here, also I might get into trouble with my kids. Anyway considering she lives less than 1/4 of a mile away I don't manage to see her very often but she is always hilarious. I feel totally refreshed by our afternoon, its amazing what a couple of hours screaming with laughter can do to perk you up.
