I'm still here, I didn't vanish in a puff of smoke overwhelmed by the trauma of my lunchtime meeting with the accountant. Admittedly my glass/bead recepits were summarily rejected with a polite request to actually find out how much I paid in Sterling then put them onto a spreadsheet and return them by Saturday. Fair play to the man they are nearly all US receipts and I didn't really expect him to guess how much I actually paid in our native currency. I should have known I wasn't going to make it when 2 hours before the appointed time I was still in my pyjamas, up to my neck in paperwork, stinky to the core (bad back = no shower, 1 week -eeeeewwwww!) the printer was out of ink, the printing calculator failed spectacularly in a confetti shower of till roll and I thought I still had time for a sausage sandwich and a noisette latte. Anyway it wasn't so bad, I think he felt quite sorry for me as I shuffled in and then gibbered incoherently until I left. I did hand over all my beautifully documented (and very boring) driver invoices and receipts and as that's where the bulk of my paltry income comes from. I think he was quite happy to have something to start with but I think I can see how tomorrow looks.I have been after a community based shop for a while now but have never managed to get it together so I thought I might give ArtFire a whirl, I have signed up and will be putting some beads up as soon as I have finished with the whole tax return debacle. Its a double sign up so after you fill in the form you need to respond to the e-mail as well to be included on the list, or you could just e-mail me through my website.Toodles!
