So by this morning George had contracted the lurgy, I seem to have slept through the worst of it which is probably quite fortunate as sympathy isn't my strong suit, but what a strange day today has been. The fridge was so utterly devoid of food both N-J and the boy were completely perplexed by it and asked me why it was that way, several times. Needless to say a trip to the supermarket was in order which was quite handy as I managed to top up on bleach. As George so succinctly pointed out I was in need of a post illness cleaning fluid binge, I wonder if this is something peculiar to me? After I have been ill I always feel need to buy an assortment of sprays, gels, fluids and various devices for applying them, it always makes me feel so much better, not using them just buying them!We were running a bit late so lunch was at four in the afternoon and by the time it was dark a rather glum mood had settled chez Johnston, I needed some cheering up and I needed it bad. I started to surf the internet checking out glass classes and cheap flights as is my wont when I'm feeling a bit down and less than an hour later I had booked our family holiday - hurrah. Have I told you yet how much I love the internet? We will be going to the same villa as last year but this time instead of driving the gazillion miles lickety split down through France we will be flying into the fantastically small airport in Bergerac and hiring a car. We are all jolly excited about this, last year we exhausted ourselves by driving there and didn't really recover enough to explore properly. How cool is this, it even has its own salt water pool and the views across the countryside from the patio are just wonderful...Can I just say "I AM SO MUCH HAPPIER NOW"
