I call him Rock the Prop... Shhh.. if we are quiet we can see him hiding in his natural habitat. You are going to be seeing a lot of Rock the Prop because I have discovered that, rather bizarrely, I have to confess, I think it is very photogenic! Yes it is a dirty, mankey lump of rock but when I dress it up in some shiney glass well it just seems to come alive. I find the contrasting textures and colours of glass on rock very appealing. I think it really adds depth, dimension and perspective to my bead photographs, somehow, it lifts them. I have been shooting the Rock pictures mostly without my tripod so I am struggling to keep them steady, however, it does mean I can use some different angles and make the most of the light at this time of year. I love taking photos when the sun is quite low in the sky and shining through the beads not glaring off the surface.Check out Rock the Prop decked out in all his finery...P.S. can you please remind me NOT to sell these beads because I love them...a lot...and also they photograph ridiculously well!
