Hoorah, migraine finally quit somewhere around 12.30 pm today, which is incidentally the exact time I finished work for the long weekend - hoorah. I started some spring cleaning this afternoon in preparation for a guilt free weekend - BIG MISTAKE - as I scraped an inch of dust from my bedside table it quickly became apparent that spring cleaning is best left for people who care about dust. Once you make any kind of mark in the dust it just highlights the rest of it and so once you start you have to keep going until the WHOLE ROOM is clean - gasp! then that one room highlights the hideosity of the rest of the house so you have to keep cleaning until the WHOLE HOUSE is done - choke!! Well clearly that ain't happening, so here is my evil plan......I will clean my side of the bedroom because I have actually started and it's rather nice then I will move onto somewhere a bit more communal, I will make a huge amount of noise and fuss and be generally vile tempered like a two year old on blue smarties until one or more of the folowing happens...a. everyone else pitches in b.they join in but unable to suffer my bad temper send me out to the shed to make beads. They also know that when I come back in if it looks the same as it did when I went out there will be hell to pay.c. I get removed forcibly from the premises and taken somewhere nice to eat and by the time we get back I have had enough to drink that I have forgotten what I was doing d. A cleaner gets hired.Actually this is a bit of a test too because George claims to read this. I can't decide if he actually does to see if I put anything incriminating, or if he just says he does to try and prevent me putting anything incriminating here, well let's just wait and see.Tommorrow is the first day of the Brighton Festival which runs for the whole of May. There is so much going on it's fantastic but my favourite thing are the artist open houses, there is a huge amout of talent here and every May I get to snoop around other peoples houses and check out their work, it's so very very cool. It's an exciting, exhilarating and vibrant time to be here if you have no plans for the Bank Holiday come on down, the sun is out and it's going to be wicked.
