On Thursday evening I spoke to my friends from Germany, Isi and Gert of Isibeads. I met Gert a couple of times over the last few years in various beady places and then last year I spent several days with both Gert and Isi when they hosted Anakin/Brad Brandolino class in Burghausen Germany (if you are interested you can see pictures click here) . They are lovely people and I had a fantastic time (I don't speak German but forunately for me their English is flawless). Anyway I was very excited when Gert contacted me and asked me if I would demonstrate their torch the Isiheat at the upcoming Flame Off in Towcester. These torches are manufactured by Herbert Arnold so they will be beautifully made, I can hardly wait and will write a review here. I will be getting one on Tuesday to start playing around with and then I really need to buckle down and formulate a plan for what I'm going to demonstrate at the Flame Off. We all have a 30-45 minute slot and to be honest Speedy Gonzalez I ain't!Before the Flame Off though I have a trip next week to Switzerland to take a class with......Stephanie Siersich.......I KNOW......How lucky am I?I went out to the shed to try and get some practice in so I don't completely humiliate myself but sadly I have lost my specs. Now I know I'm getting old because I can't see a bloody thing! I am really looking forward to this class though, I desperately need a new direction and I am keen to use more bright opaque colours in my beads.
