Welcome to Focus on Life 1-52
I wanted to take part in Sally Russick's Focus on Life Challenge last year but I missed the deadline, it was probably for the best as the way things went I probably would have puttered out pretty early on. This year feels different for some reason, things have shifted a little and everything feels a bit calmer (watch me eat those words before the month is out!) so I signed up and I'm very excited.
Week One - The minimalist photograph of a single subject.
I was walking along the beach with Natalie after a particularly violent storm when I found it. I don't usually pick things up from the beach because to me it just seems a bit wrong, plus my house is already completely full of stuff but I was really drawn to this shell. I have absolutely no idea what kind of a shell it is but I love everything about it, the colours, the textures, the questions that pop up in my head when I look at it but mostly I love it because I find it inspirational.
Edited to add: Thank you Mary and Annette for putting me out of my misery and suggesting it was an oyster shell. I might actually love it even more now that I know what it is!
