New Lampwork Earrings, New Model!
This week I have some new earrings arriving in my shop. These are one of a kind earrings made with my lampwork beads, sterling and Argentium silver. This is the first set of five and there will be another set of five by tomorrow.
I love these earring close ups but it does make it difficult to see how dainty they are. It's important to have an idea of what the jewellery you are buying will look like and it's much easier to judge size and scale when you can see them being worn. You want to see how the piece hangs, an idea of the actual colour with light passing through naturally, so much information is given by a pair of earrings or a necklace being worn. In my opinion (fwiw) a coin or a ruler is OK in a pinch, and in fairness it is what I have had to use up until now, but it just doesn't work as well.
Fortunately my daughter Natalie was on hand to model these for my shop photo shoot. Natalie has been blessed with the most gorgeous strawberry blonde hair and alabaster skin which looks stunning and, more importantly, is perfect for my modelling needs. It took me a little while (months!) to persuade her to do it but it was worth the wait, I LOVE the results. Little does she realise she's got the job for life.. lol.
I would love to hear what you think about the photos and the earrings, please click through using the button below to take a look... and please feel free to shop if something takes your fancy :)
P.S. In case you were wondering... my new Love Heart collection is pencilled to land early December, assuming I can tie Natalie to a chair.
