Mondays post is full of rubble

I didn't think the renovation work being done on the house would affect my beadmaking. I had a vision of sitting in the studio, headphones on, film playing on my laptop totally oblivious to the surrounding chaos. I was wrong, so wrong, so horribly wrong! My living room is full of everything from the kitchen and we are currently confined to a tiny space on the sofa surrounded by pots, pans, plates and other kitcheny stuff. The back of the house downstairs has been demolished and boarded up, the rubble is piled up in heaps filling both the front and the back gardens. It is not physically possible to actually reach the shed, I can't walk across the garden because of the rubble, the old toilet has been abandoned in front of the shed door, oh and the back door of the house has been bricked up... I was told on Friday that this was the very worst part and then they went home for the weekend and left me amid the ruins of my house.... I am not enjoying living in a building site but I have also been told that they will be finished by next Wednesday, really? well let's wait and see.

On a brighter note I have nearly set up my webshop and I have figured out how to transfer photographs from my camera to my computer using a wifi card - hurrah!

Can you see the studio behind the rubble?
Can you see the studio behind the rubble?
Front of the house, can barely see out of the windows

Do you like what we have done with the place?
