I love Autumn ❤️
Living in the city as I do I sometimes forget how much I love our seasons and none so much as autumn. Today we went for a walk in the countryside near Plumpton, it was raining but George was stir crazy and I love walking in the rain. Within seconds of getting outof the car I turned into a six year old… “ooh acorns, and conkers, look at these berries and look at this cool moss over here” there was inspiration at every step and I was in my element. We slipped and slid through through the trees and boggy fields and even when the soles of both my boots parted company and I had to do a strange flapping waddle I couldn’t have been happier. I love autumn, the earthy colours, woody smells, the rain on my face and the squelch of mud under my feet.
We got back to the car right around lunch time so what choice did we have but to repair to a very fine pub The Half Moon. The food was amazing, if you go try the fried halloumi, one of the best things I have eaten in quite some time.
